Residency Interview Preparation Guide Session

October 04, 2021 – October 09, 2021

Overview

Most of the residency programs have shifted to online interviews during the COVID-19 pandemic. Local guidelines for indoor gatherings and air travel restrictions for the international medical graduates drove this decision last year and this year as well. However, most of the international medical graduates (IMGs) were not familiar with the process of online interviews. Program directors view an online interview as crucial as any walk-in-interview. The interview panel keeps a close eye on many important factors during an online interview. If the candidate happens to miss one of the key points, they may lose the most important interview of their lives altogether. HOPE Telerotations is organizing a tailor-made 02-hour residency interview preparation session for the match applicants before the interview season kicks in. Each session will focus on assessing your online interview set-up, including the camera quality, mic quality, noise-free background, lighting, internet speed, and seating. You will get an assessment report in an email at the end of the session. The session will include a residency interview preparation lecture as well in the beginning.
You can also sign-up for our 1:1 Interview Preparation Program. It includes a 30-minute live interview assessing all aspects of the candidate and application, including communications skills, personal statement, and interview set-up. It also includes a 30-minute counseling session to discuss the strengths and weaknesses of your interview and application as well. You will receive a performance report in an email at the end of the session, reviewed by a senior US physician. The enrollment fee for this program is $300 (USD) per session.
